For Aaron Hall and Benji Escale, plumbing is more than a business. It has been part of their lives for decades, long before they became business partners.

Aaron built his career here in San Diego, learning the trade from his father and gaining hands-on experience throughout the local plumbing industry. Benji began his career in France, where formal trade education, business ownership, and years in the field shaped his approach to the craft.

Their different backgrounds ultimately led them to the same vision: build a dependable plumbing company grounded in craftsmanship, practical knowledge, excellent service, and respect for both customers and employees.

Aaron Hall

Aaron grew up in the plumbing industry right here in San Diego. He began plumbing at just 16 years old alongside his father, who owned a local plumbing business. Through years of hands-on work, Aaron learned virtually every aspect of the trade.

After his father became a plumbing inspector for the City of San Diego, Aaron continued developing his career with several local plumbing companies. That experience exposed him to different ways of serving customers and operating a plumbing business.

In 2013, Aaron founded California Plumbing with a team of only three people. From that small beginning, he steadily built a reputation for reliable service and quality workmanship across San Diego.

Co-Owner

Benji Escale

Benji started plumbing at 18, immediately after high school in France. He completed the extensive formal education and training required to become a professional tradesman, then went on to own and operate his own plumbing company for five years.

Running that business gave Benji experience in estimating, customer service, job and employee management, and the day-to-day responsibilities of company ownership.

After selling his business and moving to California, Benji spent approximately four years with a large San Diego plumbing company. There, he learned American plumbing practices and local standards while bringing the perspective he had developed in Europe.

Partners Since 2021

Building California Plumbing Together

Aaron and Benji met in 2021, when Benji joined California Plumbing and worked alongside Aaron for several weeks. After seeing how the company operated and recognizing its potential, Benji approached Aaron with a simple idea:

“Let’s become partners and build this company together.”

Aaron brought decades of San Diego plumbing experience, a family background in the trade, and a company he had built from the ground up. Benji brought formal European trade education, experience running his own company, and knowledge of both the French and American plumbing industries.

Together, they have grown California Plumbing from a small local operation into a larger, structured company serving the San Diego community—while staying true to the hands-on experience, craftsmanship, hard work, and practical knowledge that brought them together.
